What should I expect during my first appointment?
During your first appointment, Dr. Lindsay will ask a lot of questions to gather an extensive psychosocial history, inquire about what has brought you to counseling, and discuss what we can do to help you reach your goals.
How long will my session last?
Therapy sessions generally last from 45 to 60 minutes. Your first appointment might be slightly longer. Bariatric evaluations will take longer and may require more than one session to complete.

How do I know if you take my insurance?
Dr. Lindsay uses Headway for his patient portal. You will enter you information for authorization.
How do I make an appointment?
Dr. Lindsay's online portal through Headway allows access to his schedule to book appointments.
Are my sessions confidential?
Yes. Your sessions will be held in strict confidence within applicable laws. Per Florida statues, if you are a danger to yourself or others, Dr. Lindsay will have to intervene by requesting a welfare check by local police. Additionally, Dr. Lindsay is a mandated reporter requiring him to report any suspected child abuse or vulnerable adult abuse. In some cases, records may be released pursuant to a court order.
What if I want my records sent to someone?
You will be required to complete a Release of Information giving Dr. Lindsay permission to disclose your records to a third party.
